Gab’s Lullaby

Gab is not feeling well since yesterday. He has a slight fever. Probably due to teething again. He is still on the go and has good appetite. However, he is not as talkative or active as he used to.

We had the usual sleeping routine. After playing with the iPad, Gab turned off the lights, said his prayers and lay down on bed.

Daddy’s Offer

He doesn’t sleep right away when the lights are off. Sometimes, he would asked to be tickled or talk to himself. There are nights he prefers to be carried.  Tonight, he is not as restless and unusually quite.  Poor boy.

I offered to sing him a lullaby.  He loves that when he was less than a year old. Songs like Count on Me by Bruno Mars used to lull him to sleep.

“No, Mommy lang.”  This was Gab’s reply.  Oh, fine. So I turned to Quennie and she gave a nod. I went downstairs since my service was no longer needed. 😀  The rest of the story was told to me by Quennie afterwards.

Gab’s Song Request

Quennie started to sing the the Disney song, It’s a Small World. It’s one of his bedtime songs.

“No. A-B-C lang.”

Quennie was surprised with Gab’s request.  He wants to hear the Alphabet song!  Gab has been singing his A-B-Cs for weeks.  Sometimes he sings it completely from A-Z but most of the time, he still skips a few letters.

Quennie granted the request.  She sang A-B-Cs.

At the first round, Gab would follow the song by making the letter signs with his fingers as Quennie sings through each letter. However, Gab cannot keep up and eventually his tiredness took over him.  He was fast asleep before the A-B-C song was sang the fourth time.

Gab Sleeps with ABC

It’s amazing what the A-B-C song can do.

Now I know my ABCs can make Gab fall sleep. Next time won’t you sing it with me. 😀
