Toca Cars App Review for Toddlers

Toca Boca is back with a new app, Toca Cars. It brings racing cars to a younger audience and Gab surely likes it. Here is my Toca Cars App Review.

Toca Cars feature a closed environment car track with obstacles you can knock over and ramps to jump on. It has a cute recycled paper themed design. The trees, the houses, the dog, the fish and the bird are made of cardboards. It’s a digital playground that toddlers will enjoy.

Toca Cars makes it even more interesting with a build option in the Editor Mode. Kids are given a chance to create their own environment. They can place the trees and the houses wherever they want to be.

Toca Cars App Review

PROs

Beautiful and simple environment – The car track is fun to move around. It may be small but it is packed with interesting objects to tackle and jump. There’s the dog and bird that adds character to the app.

Restore Button – I love this button. After making a mess with the houses, trees and animals, you can simply press the Restore Button for a clean slate. No need to restart the app.

Editor Mode – This mode allows your kid to creative. There are no restrictions on what and where to place the objects. Just have fun.

Free Play – NO rules. No scores. No ranks. No pressure.

CONs

Different car controls – I love racing games like Asphalt and NFS. So I had a hard time figuring out how to control the cars correctly. But when I had figured it out, the control made sense. I forgot that Toca Cars was built for toddlers.

DADDY TIP: To drive the Toca Cars, just use your fingers to determine the path of the cars. The cars will follow wherever your fingers are. It’s a fun way to drive the a car.

SUMMARY

Toca Cars is very entertaining and fun to play with.  Gab loves cars a lot and this app did not disappoint him.  The controls are simple and just right for toddlers.
