Should I Get a Leash For Gab, Just in Case…

The first time I saw leash products for toddlers, I smirked. I never imagined a product designed for pets is now being used for babies. I am sure there is a valid reason for parents to use it. Safety is a priority and some will use different or new measures to ensure it.

Hmmm… Don’t even think about it, Gab.

But lately, I thought I might need to leash Gab in extreme situations like going to a crowded area. We are planning to visit Hong Kong Disneyland this November and I told Quennie, what if I buy a leash for Gab. You know, just in case.

Her reply, “NOOOOOO!”

I expected that and I felt silly for opening it up.

First, I don’t think Gab would like to be on a leash. He doesn’t like being on a stroller before. He also doesn’t like being carried using a carrier. So I don’t think Gab will like being harnessed on a leash as well.

Second, Gab doesn’t like being away from us. If Gab doesn’t see his company within 5 meters, he gets worried. He would call our name, go to us, grab our hands, and lead us to where he was standing. He asks for someone to watch over him.

Lastly, Gab loves to be carried. When we are outside, he wants to be carried more often than he wants to walk on his own. Too bad, we get sore hads when we get home. But good since we always get home together as one family.

I guess I’ll use my money somewhere else.
