The London 2012 Olympics is over. The 2016 Summer Olympics will be held at Rio de Janiero, Brazil. The bidding for 2020 Summer Olympics is ongoing. One of the candidate cities is Madrid and we would love Madrid to host the games in 2020.
It will be perfect excuse to visit Europe in 2020. The year is just perfect to travel with Gab and hopefully, another child. By 2020, Gab will be 9 years old. The next child will probably be 5 or 6 years old. It will not be as difficult to bring them alone.
Quennie has been to Madrid and Paris in 2008. She would love to go back there. I have never been to Europe and a 3-4 week trip is what I am dreaming about. Quennie is excited about Madrid 2020.
2020 looks like a feasible year to be able to save for a Europe trip. A friend told me that during their trip to Europe last March, it costs them about 10,000 Php per person, per day. That includes food, transportation, and BnB accommodations. Thus, a 3 week stay in Europe would be about 200,000 Php per person. Not including the airfare yet.
What if Madrid will not win the bib in 2020?
Well, the other candidate cities for the 2020 Olympics are Istanbul and Tokyo. These cities are just gorgeous but my next choice will be Istanbul and next will be Tokyo. The election of the host city for Olympics 2020 will be on September 7, 2013. I will surely tune in to it next year.
I need to start saving for this trip.
