Monkey Preschool Lunchbox – iPad App Review

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is probably one of the best educational apps out there.  Gab was hooked to it and helped us teach him numbers, colors, memory games, sizes, puzzles and more.

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is an app designed for preschoolers.  It is packed with lots of activities like counting, puzzles, and identification.  All activities are easy to use and follow.  Even two year olds can easily play with it.

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is not a FREE educational app.  It costs 1.99 USD.  No in-app purchases.  It’s worth it.

PROs

Funny Monkey – Monkey doesn’t have a name except he is called Monkey. He laughs. He giggles. He jumps. He flips. His antics is encouraging for kids.

Easy Activities – Most activities are simple identification where you just tap on the letter or color being asked for.  The jigsaw puzzle was more challenging for a preschooler but a great one once they figure it out.

Random Sequence – There is a different sequence of activities every time you start the app.  All activities are at random.  I find this better since it will emphasize on the skill rather than just memorizing what comes next.

Stickers – Cute stickers

CONs

No Scores – The app doesn’t keep scores or shows progress on how your kids are doing. Maybe that’s a good thing since it doesn’t put unnecessary pressure for a child.
