Closer to Nature in Caleruega

We ran out of things to do in Tagaytay when one of us suggested to visit Caleruega.  Caleruega is already part of Nasugbu, Batangas but it is a few minutes drive from Tagaytay.  Caleruega is a peaceful place making it a popular wedding and retreat venue.

How to get to Caleruega

It’s easy to get to Caleruega once you are already in Tagaytay.

From Tagaytay Rotonda, continue to go straight and take the road on the left once it forks at Magallanes Square.  Taking the road on e right will still get you to there but the view is better at the left.  😀 Continue until the Nasugbu Arch. You would pass by Starbucks, Max, Taal Vista Hotel, Mushroom Burger, Residence Inn, and Splendido.

After a Petron Station, turn left towards Evercrest and Chapel on the Hill – Don Bosco.  Then turn right when you see the sign pointing to Caleruega. It will be a bumpy road going downhill.  At the end of the road will be Caleruega.

If you are commuting, here are the directions:

1. Board a bus bound to Nasugbu, Balayan or Calatagan in Pasay EDSA-Taft. Alight at Evercrest Golf Club and Resort.

2. Board a tricycle in Evercrest and tell the driver to take you to Caleruega.  There is no tricycle terminal outside Caleruega so  advise the tricycle driver to wait for you or fetch you on agreed time.  Fare is Php 20/head. Distance from Evercrest to Caleruega is 2KM.

3. Going back to Manila,  ride a bus via the same route from Evercrest.
