Gab Says “Don’t Call Me Kuya”

I think Gab growing fast.  Some of his clothes could no longer fit him.  We just bought a new set of sando he can use at home.  Despite that, Gab still believes he still is our “Baby Gab”.

You’d be surprise on Gab would answer back.  He knows how to communicate with words at such a young age.

Our neighbor just gave birth to an adorable baby boy.  From time to time, they will bring the baby outside for some sunlight.  That was when we introduced him to Gab.  Since Gab was older, we said, “Hi baby, this is Kuya Gab.”

We did not expect how  Gab answered next.

“Ay, Daddy sala.  Wala Kuya Gab.  Baby Gab lang.” (That’s wrong, Daddy.  There is no Kuya Gab.  Just Baby Gab.)

I did not expect him to answer that.  Surely he does understands the difference between a baby and a kuya.

Just for fun, we would call him again and again as Kuya Gab.  But he always insist that he is Baby Gab.  And he doesn’t smile or laugh when he says that.  He really means it.

Maybe, that is one sign that he’s not yet ready for a baby brother or a baby sister.  😀
