This iPad Mini Is Tempting Me

I told myself not to buy any gadget this year.  This goes especially for an iPad since I already own an iPad 1st Generation.  However, the prices of iPad Mini is tempting me to buy one.

When the iPad Mini was introduced, prices in the Philippines before its official local release was as high as 24,000 Php for a 16GB Wifi Only.  Official iPad resellers sold the iPad Mini for 23,990 (16GB Wifi only) last December 2012.  Three months later, the price for the iPad Mini in the Philippines has dropped it’s price significantly.

The Apple online store is now selling the iPad Mini at the following prices.

  • Ipad Mini wifi 16GB – P 15,990
  • Ipad Mini wifi 32GB – P 20,990
  • Ipad Mini wifi 64GB – P 25,990
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 16GB – P 21,990
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 32GB – P 26,990
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 64GB – P 31,990

That looks cheap today.  But a recent visit to Cash and Carry Mall in Makati made me see this iPad Mini for only 14,800 Php.  Now that is a price I am having a hard time to resist.

Cheapest Ipad Mini Price

That’s a price for a cash purchase though. I have dropped by the store twice this week.  Not a good sign for someone who vowed not to buy a gadget this year.  My current iPad has been with me for more than 2 years.  Except for an outdated iOS, it still works just fine.

But checking the online stores, the iPad Mini is at its cheapest.  Kimstore by Kim Lato has the following prices for the iPad Mini.

  • Ipad Mini wifi 16GB – P 14,300 white / 14,100 black
  • Ipad Mini wifi 32GB – P 18,300 Black / 18,400 white
  • Ipad Mini wifi 64GB – P 22,100
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 16GB – P 19,300 white/black
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 32GB – P 23,100 white/black
  • Ipad Mini wifi + 4G 64GB – P 26,900 white/black

When buying gadgets, it’s really a good idea to buy after the official release.  A little patience can save a lot of money.
