Melissa and Doug Toys – Fish Colors

I was looking for new educational toys for babies to keep Gab busy.  Fish Colors by Melissa and Doug was one of the new toys I bought for him.  With ten fish-shape color puzzles, I think this toy can keep Gab busy for weeks.  It’s a great educational toy to help Gab learn and identify colors.

The Fish Colors is made of light wooden pegs which are easy and light for toddlers to hold.  The pieces and its edges are smooth and clean.  I don’t need to worry about Gab getting hurt with the toy.

There are 10 colors for babies to learn and explore.  Each piece puzzle has its name on the main board whenever you lift the pieces.

Gab is enjoying them.  We would remove all the pieces and he will return each piece to its correct color.

Although sometimes he gets frustrated whenever a piece won’t fit right away because it has been rotated.  I would assist Gab a little by rotating the piece slightly to make it easier for him to place the piece back.

Once all the pegs are in its place, Gab would clap in delight.

Melissa and Doug Fish Colors

Fish Colors by Melissa and Doug is very educational.  It’s designed for kids ages 2+ but at 16 months, Gab loves it.  And I think it is safe for him too.  As long as he doesn’t bite the pegs, maybe.

Fish Colors also teaches hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.  It also teaches Gab patience every time he have a hard time putting the pegs back.

I highly recommend this toy for your toddlers.

I bought Fish Colors from Toy’s R Us at Shangrila Plaza Mall for 229.75 Php. I also saw these being sold at the toys section of Rustan’s.
