Getting Ready for Baby’s First Solid Food

We’re getting ready for Gab’s first solid food.  Gab will have his first solid food this weekend.  We bought him his high chair, weaning spoons and bowl.  What is lacking now is his food.

Our doctor recommended to buy the following for Gab for his feeding needs:

  • Spoon
  • Bowl or plate
  • High chair

What we bought first are his utensils.  Quennie bought the Avent weaning spoons and bowl.  She was after the bonus points on an Avent promo.

The feeding bowl by Avent is developed with leading child psychologist Dr. Gillian Harris.  It has number and pictures on it which you can create stories with the child or count numbers with.

We were supposed to buy a second hand high chair.  But we were not able to finalize the deal with our contact.  So we decided to buy one instead.  What we got is a high chair by Chicco.

Doc Vienne says that the high chair is important to establish good eating habits with the baby.  We have to make sure that all feeding will be in the high chair.  No feeding while at play or while on TV or on other activities.

Now, we just need to buy food.  We haven’t prepared them yet.  Actually, I don’t know how to cook them.  😛
