Gab knew Thomas from a coloring book I bought him. He calls him “Cho Cho”. I was happy to see a Thomas and Friends Starter Kit at Toys R Us. It’s a train set with Thomas and a small railroad track. Just right for beginners.

The Thomas and Friends Starter Kit comes with Thomas and his faithful coaches, Annie and Clarabel. The box contains 10 pieces of railroad tracks to form an oval. It has a tree and a stoplight too.
Thomas is battery operated. One AA battery is enough to power up Thomas and go around the track.

The railroad is expandable. You can buy new tracks to extend the set. You can also buy new trains to add to your collection. I would love to expand this but I don’t think Gab is ready for more trains yet.

The train and the track pieces have smooth edges. They are well crafted and looks safe for kids. The railroad track is very easily to assemble and disassemble.
The Thomas and Friends Starter Kit is intended for kids 3 years and above. Gab is only 1 year and 7 months. While the toy looks safe, Gab doesn’t appreciate Thomas on the railroad track. He prefers to hold Thomas with his hands and letting it glide on the floor. I did not put in the battery anymore.
He loves pounding Thomas on hard surfaces too. Good thing, Thomas can withstand the hard pounding.

I bought Thomas and Friends Starter Kit at Toys R Us. The price is 799.95 Php. This is the one manufactured by Tomy. Other versions from other brands like Fisher Price is more expensive.
If your kids loves to watch Thomas and Friends, then they will surely love this set. Gab loves it so much, he doesn’t even want me to touch it.
