Rapha Valley is a hidden organic food and wellness restaurant situated at the Brgy. Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto. They serve fresh vegetarian foods with ingredients plucked fresh from Rapha Valley’s own organic farm. It’s about one and half hour ride from Bacolod City and the trip has been worth it with good and healthy vegetarian food.
I only heard about Rapha Valley from the internet while looking for interesting places to go to in Don Salvador Benedicto. The photos of Rapha Valley and the food that they serve were very attractive that decided to include it in my stop while in Don Salvador Benedicto.
Directions to Rapha Valley
Before going there, you need to call them for reservations. They don’t accept walk-in guests since they might have seminars and groups that would occupy the whole place. Rapha Valley contact numbers are listed below.
Getting to Rapha Valley is a bit tricky but there is a big sign from the main road that tells you to take the detour towards Rapha Valley.
From Bacolod, drive towards Don Salvador Benedicto via the Bacolod-San Carlos City Road or the Eco Tourism Highway. Look out for the yellow kilometer makers along the road that tells you how far you are from Kilometer 0 in Bacolod City.
Once you reach KM 48, look for the Rapha Valley sign that points to the right (if coming from Bacolod). Turn right towards the dirt road and drive for about 1.5 kilometers. Rapha Valley will have a wooden gate and a sign that tells you have arrived already.
Rapha Valley Restaurant and Cafe Menu
Rapha Valley Café has a short menu. They serve breakfast, salads, lunch and dinner entrees, pasta and noodles, desserts, snacks and juices.
The Menu
I would love to try all since I love eating vegan foods. But I ended up getting Eggs Benedict, Ensalada Puso salda, an Ilonggo KBL Stew with a vegan twist, Bulkan Kanlaon for dessest, and their lemon grass juice and cucumber juice.
If you love vegan foods, Rapha Valley will surely satisfy you. I love their menu since the food are familiar. The herbs are really fresh since most of them were just plucked from their farm. This will also mean that the serving time may take a while since all food are prepared as ordered.
I really recommend the Eggs Benedict. It’s a breakfast set that comes with a fruit plate, freshly baked whole wheat bread, tofu cheese and juice. The tofu cheese tastes like feta cheese. Amazing!

The healthy cooking doctor, Dr. Albert Jo
What made our dining experience even better is that the food were made and served by the owner himself, Dr. Albert Jo. He is a medical doctor but pursued his passion for cooking. He knows his stuff and can talk endlessly about the benefits of vegetables and the harmful effects of meat and fast food. It was like an impromptu seminar and I learned a lot from him.
Now, I am more interested to add more plant-based food in my diet and really lessen my trips to fast food chains. I also started reading the book Forks Over Knives – The Cookbook for plant-based recipes and guide to plant-based eating.
Casitas and Cuartos Room Rates
Rapha Valley also have their Casitas and Cuartos for overnight stays. The rooms are cozy and has a great view of Mt. Kanlaon. Since it is located on a mountain top, the breeze was quite cool even for a summer day.

Rapha Valley is a great escape from the busy life and unhealthy food in the city. The ambiance was laid back, and the food was very nourishing. I would definitely crave for their food everytime I am in Bacolod.
