Agogo is an Ilonggo term for and iced candy. I really don’t know how the word came about.  We made the Cucumber and Lemon Iced Candy in agogo form since we have plastic wrappers left.  But this is also great as a popsicle if you have an ice pop molder.

1 pc Cucumber
2 pcs Lemon, squeezed into juice
250 mL water
100 g sugar

Procedure

1. Rinse the cucumber. Chop of the ends and cut into thick slices. Leave the skin on. Put them in a blender with the water and blend into a fine puree.

2. Strain the cucumber through a mesh strainer. Add the lemon juice and the sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

3. Pour the mixture into the plastic wrapper or an ice pop mould. Freeze for 4-8 hours.

Daddy Tips

  • You can also use lime or calamansi instead of lemon.
