The year 2012 will be a year with a lot of travel. Quennie and I agreed that we will bring Gab to places outside Manila before he turns 2 year old next January. Once he turns 2, he is no longer free in the airfare. So we want to enjoy traveling while it is not yet that expensive. Plus, it’s a crazy year for weddings. Family and friends are tying the knot and we need to be there.

Casablanca Private Resort in Tagaytay
We went to Tagaytay last weekend to celebrate birthdays with friends. We stayed at Casablanca. It is a private resort which is often used for weddings, commercials, and seminars and other private functions. The place is very beautiful with a great view of Taal Lake.
Island Hopping in Guimaras
I had chance to have a short sightseeing in Guimaras after organizing the 1st Manggahan Festival Half Marathon. I went with my sister and her friends to Raymen Beach Resort in Alubihod where we took a boat ride to see the small islands in the area.
It was a short but fun ride. Although Guimaras is a small island, it is rich in its natural beauty. The government has been very supportive in protecting its natural wonders.
What I saw during the island hopping surprised me and I want to go back there with Quennie and Gab next year.
We saw sea turtles, caves, houses on top of the island and small beaches.

One of my favorite stop is an encounter a sea turtle at the Lawi Marine Turtle Rescue Center.

This is how it looks like inside the cave.
These are lovely houses in one of the islands.
We had a stop over at Natago Island to see a church.
