Gab insists that Daddy sleeps on the “small bed” which is actually a Uratex foam on the floor. Gab and Quennie gets to sleep on the “big bed”. I don’t complain. I even think it’s a blessing.
Gab is not the angel you think he is when he sleeps. I think most parents would agree that sleeping with a baby has it’s risks. You get punched, kicked, slapped and tackled. Once in a while, some ground and pound MMA-style might happen on a bad night.
A friend shared a picture of different sleeping positions of a young couple with their baby. Many of our friends can relate to the photo below. Quennie and I can point some of the common scenarios, as well. I’m sure you can find yours too.

The following day, I caught Gab and Quennie fighting… oh… i mean, sleeping. It just looks like Gab is giving Quennie a roundhouse kick.
Maybe that’s the disadvantage of co-sleeping. I am just thankful that I get to sleep on the floor. I have the floor all to myself.
haha I can so relate… our little one is three now and we still co-sleep. So the bed is just getting smaller and smaller for us. But I honestly think that when the moment comes that she’d be sleeping on her own bed, I will miss these karate moments at night with her 🙂
