Gab Turns 3!

It’s been another year and Gab is now Three Years Old.  I just love watching him grow.  It’s been a great year.

We are happy that he hasn’t been the terrible two that usually comes with his age.  But wait, would he be a terrible three instead?

I read my previous post about Gab when he turned Two last year.  It was about his likes and dislikes.  What he can do and what he can’t do.  After 365 days, many of it has changed while a few were still the same.  Our love for him changed too… we love him more!

Gab 3rd Bday Party

This is Gab at Three.

  • Gab weighs 12 kgs.
  • Gab’s height is 93 cm.

Gab’s Favorite Food

  • Bread, cookies, pastries especially the crunchy ones
  • Hard boiled Egg, egg whites only
  • Purple Soup, that’s soup with dahon ng kamote
  • Cherries!  I love the big smile on his face when he sees one.
  • Garlic chips.  He even puts it in danish pastries.
  • Colorful Puto

He lost his likeness for my malunggay pesto and some veggies.  But we notice he’s eating a lot more than before and asks for food if he feels hungry.  Finally, he likes eating rice as long as there is exactly one piece of garlic chip on top.

Songs he can memorize

  • Bahay Kubo
  • Tomorrow (first few lines so far)
  • Alphabet Song (‘A’ you’re adorable)
  • Nursery Rhymes: London Bridge, Row Row Your Boat, etc.
  • Christmas Songs: Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Bahay Kubo is his first Filipino song to memorize.  Next goal is Lupang Hinirang. 😀

Gab loves

  • CARS!
  • Books
  • Singing and humming

Here’s a tip.  Give Gab a toy car and you will be friends for a day.

Gab knows

  • How to read books with 15-20 words per page.  We’re so proud of this.
  • How to tell a story
  • How to count in English, Filipino, Spanish and French
  • The Spanish Alphabet
  • How to write alphabets and numbers, but not in a straight line yet
  • How to compose a song like “The Froggy Song”
  • How to Potty with a Potty Trainer. Finally, whew.

Gab’s Favorite Pastime

  • Read books, even at midnight
  • Run at the park
  • Play downstairs
  • Play with his toy cars
  • Play tickle with Mom and Dad

Sometimes, people are asking us if we were forcing Gab to read.  Actually, it is Gab who is forcing us to read several books to him at night even if Quennie and I are so sleepy.  Bedtime stories doesn’t make him sleepy.  It makes him want to hear more.

Gab doesn’t know

  • How to blow the candle on his birthday cake
  • How to share his toys

You can’t touch his toys.  He knows the exact spot of this toy cars.  He knows even if you moved it an inch.

Gab doesn’t like

  • Someone else playing with his toys
  • Sudden sounds like someone knocking or loud thud of my exercise mat
  • Daddy’s loud voice, ehe, and Lolo Jimboy’s loud voice too.  I guess it runs in the family.
  • Batteries on this toy cars.

We didn’t have television for 5 months.  Thus, he haven’t watched his favorite characters like Mickey Mouse and Doc McStuffins.  He no longer looks for the iPad nor play with the iPhone.  But sometimes he asks to watch Doc McStuffins and other videos on the PC.

Happy Birthday Gab.

Mommy and Daddy loves you.
