The floods in Mindanao reminded me of Typhoon Ondoy. We had our apartment flooded waist-deep. We lost most of our books in flood water but we’re thankful that all of us were safe. Typhoon Sendong hit Iligan city and Cagayan De Oro even worse than Typhoon Ondoy in Manila last 2009. It’s more heartbreaking that it’s almost Christmas when families lost their homes and loved ones.
