A Call for Breastmilk Donations for Victims of Typhoon Pablo

A lot of persons have done their share to help victims of Typhoon Pablo whether thru cash or kind but there’s another call for donations of life-saving breastmilk.

The PGH Lactation Unit and Milk Bank will help pasteurize the donor milk, according to Secretary Dinky Soliman of DSWD.

Here are the list of drop-off points for breastmilk for the victims of Pablo in Compostela Valely, Mindanao. Please donate frozen (not thawed) milk. List pulled from Chronicles of a Nursing Mom site.

– Medela House at 29 1st Street, New Manila, Quezon City: daily from 8.30a.m. to 5.30p.m..

– Lactation Unit at The Medical City, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City: 8a.m. to 5p.m., from Monday to Friday. Call 635-6789 local 6720. Look for Ms. Recy, the lactation nurse, or Ms. Mel, the lactation midwife.

– Lactation Unit at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City: 9a.m. to 12p.m., from Monday to Friday. Mothers can express milk here from Thursday to Saturday, 3p.m. to 5p.m.. Call 789-7700 local 8829 or 0922-882-5407. Look for Ms. Joyce, the lactation nurse.

– Human Milk Bank at the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, Manila: 8a.m. to 5p.m., from Monday to Friday. Call 734-5561 to 65 local 156. Look for Ms. Linda.

– Human Milk Bank at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Quezon City: 8a.m. to 5p.m., from Monday to Friday. Call 924-6601, local 288. Call Ms. Rose, the Milk Bank nurse.

– #68 Manila Bay Drive, Southbay Gardens, Sucat, Paranaque City: 7p.m. to 10p.m., from Monday to Friday, 10a.m. to 5p.m., on Saturday and Sunday. Call Joyce at 0922-882-5407.

– ALGON Building, 159 JP Cabaguio Avenue, Davao City: Call 082-227-3154. Look for Lanie or Neneng.
